There’s also been top players who have won tournaments without needing to snake much, or at all even. If your units reach the building first it’s more likely you’re going to lose than win. The one with the denser snakes is more likely to win, but there’s also a luck factor to it. I’ve been playing this game for two years, and against some of the best players ever, the only times snakes become crucial are specific unlikely situations where you have to compete for a middle building rush in 1v1 maps. I can't count the number of games and attacks that I've lost to this stupid exploited bug! It just is frustrating that it exists at all. It is not explicitly banned by the devs, and you can use it without any other software. To my mind, the game would be 100% better without snaking being there. Clearly, it goes against the foundation of many mechanics that the game is built on (attacks delay, heroes abilities, and so on).Īre you seriously telling me that it is a core of the game and the game would be broken without it? The fact of the matter is its existence doesn't make sense. I don't care if they have a game tutorial of doing it, I don't care if it is a clickable button right in front of you. I know devs embraced it, but that doesn't mean anything. It's not control over your army, it is straight up cheating. More than anything, being able to shotgun the entire army in an instant as opposed to the delay with normal attacks is what makes it bad. If you play a game where you start with very few units and is very close to the enemy, it gives them even more ridiculous power. It is overpowered and I'm not stating enough how overpowered it is. Their troops arrived in a flash before my nearest reinforcements could get there. Last night an opponent defeated me by capturing by home village using CR from across the ice, another clever application. ![]() CR is very nice on maps with long distances. Close Ranks requires two touches, but snaking requires many. My Kenor's CR is only level 3, but grants over 80% speed increase with an artifact. It also accelerates troops, an effect which can also be increased with bonuses. CR works on up to 100, and that can be increased by bonuses. It can be used to send troops from villages with any population, but snaking only works on the last 35. The in-game Library doesn't address controls or strategy (nor 2v2 mode, artifacts or any number of other topics) so the fact that it doesn't mention snaking is hardly evidence it's a malfunction.Ĭlose Ranks is not the greatest skill, but it is different in several ways. You can create a snake using any percentage of troops, as the instructions explain. If you see it in use and don't know what it is, googling anything like "mushroom wars 2 move troops tight" will lead right to the answer. ![]() Instead, there's a page on the game's website explaining how to do it, complete with an instructional video. If it were a malfunction, the developers would have fixed it. It can be reliably repeated by anyone on any platform, so it's not irregular. Snaking was programmed into MW2 purposefully and has been in the game since its release, so it's not sudden or temporary. A glitch is a sudden, usually temporary malfunction or irregularity.
